On 01.09.2017 we welcomed a new apprentice to our company.
Mr. Timo Babbel from Plettenberg starts a 2.5 year training to become a management assistant
in wholesale and foreign trade.
We welcome him cordially and wish him a good start and much success on his career.
On January 1st, Mr. Franz-Josef Bönner celebrated his 20 th jubile. Ever since 1997 Mr. Bönner has been head of the national sales team.
Since Mr. Bönner is highly appreciated by both management and colleagues, we all look forward to many years of good and successful cooperation.
On January Ist, Mr. Jan Hempel became head of the logistic department.
After having completed his education, he was trained in the logistic as well as the quality department and attended several external training courses.

On September 1 st, 2016 Mrs Jessica Brake could look back on 15 years at the Wilhelm Schmerbeck company. Since having finished her education, she is part of the national sales team and supports Mr. Bönner.

On 01.01.2016, Mr. Jürgen Feld retired from the management of the Wilhelm Schmerbeck GmbH. His daughter, Mrs Yvonne Feld, who has joined the company 10 years ago and became managing director in 2011, took over his duties.
With this generational change, the Wilhelm Schmerbeck GmbH continues business in the 4th generation.
After 40 years of service in the operational sector, Mr. Feld still supports the company as advisory board.
On September 1st, Mr. Jens Löhnhardt celebrated his 20th jubilee.
After having completed his education, Mr. Löhnhardt at first joined the national sales department and then took over a position of responsibility in the export department. Additionally, Mr. Löhnhardt is authorized signatory and head of the IT sector. He has completed an on-the-job-training as computer scientist.
Management and staff congratulate Mr. Löhnhardt on his jubilee and look forward to many years of good cooperation.
In July 2015, Mr. Jan Hempel and Mr. Patrick Schulte passed the instructor qualifying exam at the chamber of commerce („SIHK Hagen“).
They can now put their vocational education and training qualifications to practice and are – amongst others - resonsible for our new trainees.

On 18.09.2014 Mr. Jan Hempel and Mr. Patrick Schulte attended a workshop regarding VCI-corrosion hosted by "Knüppel Verpackung GmbH & Co. KG" and "EXCOR GmbH" in Aschaffenburg.
The hosts presented several options how to protect metallic parts and components from corrosion. The participants further used the opportunity to share more experiences on this topic.
At the end of the day subscribed participants competed in the first forklift world cup.
On 09.04.2014 Mr. Patrick Schulte successfully completed his correspondence course as "quality assurance representative - quality management" at the distance study center Darmstadt. Management and staff congratulate him on this success.
The final examination was performed by the Technical Inspection Agency Rhineland. Mr. Schulte passed with distinction and obtained his certificate in Pfungstadt on 25.06.2014.
In order to refresh and expand our employees´ knowledge in this matter, Mr. Jan Hempel attended the course "Professional load-securing - qualification according VDI 2007a" at the DEKRA academy in Dortmund on 28. and 29.05.2014.
Mr. Jan Hempel passed his final examination at the International Chamber of Commerce.
As official "quality-assistant and "specialist for quality" he supports our quality management.
